Suit your fancy–What type of quality weave are you looking for with your woven labels?

With our low minimums and industry low prices, we can make your concept explode into a professional branding label. Most of out clients opt for the premium grade of label, as it is has outstanding definition, strength and low cost. You can compare our 3 grades here:

What are the differences between the various grades?

A “damask” apparel label (premium and midgrade) is thicker and has more “density” with than taffeta (economy).

Furthermore, damask woven labels for clothing provide more definition to the edges of your art design-that are smoother, and have high definition design quality.

These type of labels are woven from scratch on large looms that read your digitally encoded design graphic files. Your artwork is actually transformed from a digital file to a 100% woven product.

Most of these custom woven labels are made of polyester fibers. Though there are several types of labeling products available, we automatically upgrade each order to high definition woven damask with an introductory order of 500 pieces.

Finishing Options

The sewing label’s edges are generally finished off with the “hot cut” method. The labels are manufactured into big sheets and then cut into individual pieces with a hot wire. This process seals the polyester edges.

Another finishing option is that the ultrasonic cut, in which the borders are cut with high-frequency sound waves. Instead of being melted using a hot knife, the edges are feathered. This sort of cutting allows for a super soft and non-scratchy edge border.

There’s also a costly “woven border” alternative –this is advised for extremely smaller tags of smaller than 0.5″or 1 cm in height. This sort of option is relatively rare due to the cost and the higher minimum quantity requirements. Roxwell Waterhouse is here to assist you each step of this way to make sure that the ordering process is easy hassle-free and manageable.

Artwork and Design Requirements

For your label layout, the best practice is simplicity. That is, two dimensional with very clear and cut solid lines. Details like shadowing and color transitions are often illegible with little woven tagging.

Color Matching Custom Sewing Labels

In case you’ve been in the sewing merchandise industry for some time, you probably have experienced the frustrating process of matching Pantone color for your fabric, whatever the use. If you’re new to the sewing or fashion business, you’re most likely very confused by your producer’s petition for clarification when you indicate the overall colors such as”red” or”green.” Properly match colors for custom sewing labels can be quite a technical procedure, and manufacturers often use a number codes color system known as the Pantone Matching System (PMS). Consider the times when you go to the match house paint you navigate through hundreds of colors using a color code. Pantone color charts function primarily in precisely the same way.

The Procedure for Exact Color Sampling

If you’re sending a scanned sample of your label or a graphics file to your clothes label supplier to match, there’s another problem –the adjustments of visual exhibits because of digital picture resolutions unique to every computer.

By way of instance, what may seem to be green #H005 in your screen using your graphics software with your specific resolution might appear as blue #H010 in your provider’s monitor and software interface. Graphic interfacing and color matching technology hasn’t yet caught up with that of the human eye.

The differences are not as significant as day and night, but if exact color matching is vital, it is crucial to get a physical sample of your garment tag before going to full production.
An actual sample is a first run creation of your tag —it’s a substitute for you to see your final product before it goes to manufacturing from the thousands or hundreds.

But waiting can be a big minus to physical sampling. If every physical sample takes 3-7 days to create, and if the garment tag factory isn’t located on your country of origin, you might have waits of up to several weeks to get your sample by email –again, this doesn’t include production itself. Sampling may substantially add to prices also.

If your budget and time are tight, then it is suggested you allow for a small margin of error related to color shading–possibly a shade or two. You can always return with another apparel label order to make tiny changes as needed.

Woven custom clothing labels are manufactured according to your specification for the art. A loom weaves your artwork or picture as part of the cloth. The tags are then cut or folded. These tags are professionally finished and ready to sew.

Advantages:

Long lasting through repeated usage, such as washings and dryer usage.

Disadvantages:

Artwork/graphics limits: All artwork, logos, and lettering have to be a transparent, smoothed edged presentation.

Ordering your first pair of custom apparel or cloth tags is one of the most very technical steps of the entire sewn product production process. Let’s go over the various options for label folding, as this can make a huge difference in final costs.

The are several exotic and complicated folding styles like the Manhattan or miter folds, but these designs are more expensive and utilized by designers and crafters only a small proportion of the time.

Straight-cut

If you’re planning to sew all four sides or two endings so that the label is firmly affixed, then this is an ideal label for your project. The clothes label is sewn directly and snugly to the product with no hanging or loose ends.

Advantages:
-It does not tear off
-It’s often cheaper than folded
-It doesn’t need to be sewn into the seam.

Mid-fold
This type of labels has both cut ends stitched into the fabric seam, so the tag hangs down. This increases surfaces area, so it is possible to include additional information like care instructions or content on the backside.

Disadvantage:
These type of clothing tags can be ripped off or damaged.

End-folds

This type of label is made like a straight cut, but there’s a small quantity of extra sewing space on the left and right edges.
These sew spaces are then folded, and the stitching occurs under these folds. This style allows for a great look without seams exposed to the exterior and is considered a highly finished look. However, unlike the straight cut, it isn’t as tightly seated and may be ripped or damaged more easily.

Advantage:
Allows for a classy completed looked

Disadvantage:
Sewn tags can be easily snagged and torn

These explanations of folding styles can allow you to figure out the best way to design your fabric tags. Remember to get started on your labels early in the production process as this will save you a great deal of stress and money in the long run!
