Hello, I tried posting the picture of the diy shoes that I had in mind, but the file is too big. Nevertheless here it is: http://apairandasparediy.com/2011/07/di ... heels.html.
I'm thinking about doing something kind of similar using plain or wedged shoes or sneakers. Then adding beads or sequins or even handpainting. I'm planning to do the same thing for the bags. With them, I'm thinking about handpainting abstracts of the owner's faces, so they need to be pre-ordered. Does these sound good?

Hi. First things first is you need to find a supplier which could give you really good quality durable shoes. That's what are looking for, design and durability. Second, if you're gonna add some beads, don't make it too bulky that comfort is compromised. The best-selling shoes are those that are the most comfortable.

Sounds like a really cute idea. What kind of shoes are you wanting to bejewel? Who is your targeted market? How do you want to sell them?

I'm thinking about using plain fabric wedges and sneakers. I don't want to use leather women's shoes as they tend to crack with prolonged use. I think fabric shoes last longer. My target market is mostly females from kids to young adults. probably 1- 25yo. Im still not sure on how I'll sell them exactly. But I'm thinking about doing it online since I'm just starting.

Selling online may be cost-effective but you should be very wary of scammers and joy-reservers. You need to have a downpayment or full payment first before you send a product policy so that you have an assurance that you would get paid.
